I joined the Diaconie in Stad team in October 2025 as the only PR and Marketing member. Together, we funded and invited the initiative Sites of Memory to bring their performance Forget to Remember to Groningen. The two shows took place during Sint-Maarten Pronkjewailn, a festival centred around generosity and kindness- values that are deeply connected to the Diaconie’s mission.
As the PR member, my role included inviting members of the press and building connections across the city in order to bring as diverse an audience as possible to the event. This team effort resulted in two sold out shows with glowing reviews across the board.
During the lead up to and at the performances, I also took on the role of photographer and videographer, documenting behind-the-scenes and interviews for our social media channels. Working alongside the designer for Diaconie in Stad, we created social posts to help drive ticket sales.
